The 2nd round of the NFL Draft begins at 7 p.m. tonight. The Bills hold the 8th pick (40th overall) and there is still plenty of talent left on the board. The Bills addressed their need at defensive tackle on in the 1st round and here are 4 more prospect who would make an immediate impact.
- OT Jawaan Taylor (Florida)- Most believed Taylor was the top offensive lineman entering the draft, so why is he still available? Rumors started to swirl about a knee injury and it clearly has scared teams off. The Bills still need help up front and if healthy Taylor would be a front-runner to start at right tackle next season.
- WR A.J. Brown (Ole Miss.)- This would be a steal for the Bills. Brown is a versatile wide out who can play inside and outside. Brandon Beane revamped the wide receiver group in free agency and this would give Josh Allen another playmaker.
- OL Dalton Risner (Kansas St.)- Risner was a 3-time captain who is described as a great leader and is versatile to play up and down the offensive line. Those attributes are exactly what Sean McDermott looks for in a player. Risner would be a strong candidate to start at guard or tackle in his rookie season.
- TE Irv Smith Jr. (Alabama)- Possibly the biggest hole on the Bills roster is at tight end and this pick would change that. Smith is a playmaking tight end who hauled in 7 touchdowns for ‘Bama last season. There’s a big talent drop off at tight end when Smith comes off the board.
