Bills Offense Makes Statement, Run Game Gets Going In Blowout Over Jets

Prior to Sunday, the Bills offense had scored just one touchdown and 20 points in their last three games. But on the road against the Jets, Buffalo poured it on, scoring a season high 41 points. Four different Bills found the end zone, including offensive tackle Dion Dawkins.

“It (the call) was get Dion into the end zone on one,” said Dawkins. “That’s exactly what happened.”

“We’ve been holding onto that play for quite a while,” said running back LeSean McCoy. “I’m happy he got a chance to score. Knowing him, he thinks he’s a wide receiver anyway,” McCoy joked.

McCoy had an explosive day of his own. The running back had 26 carries for 113 yards, and his first two touchdowns of the season.

“It’s like that big monkey’s off my back a little bit,” said McCoy. “But, it’s just one game at a time. We want to go out there and win just that game. It was a lot better today just because of how we’ve been running the ball, and how we’ve been playing against that type of defense, that defense is good so I was shocked in the way we moved it, running the ball.”

The Bills improve to 3-7 and head into the bye week. The team welcomes Jacksonville to town Sunday, November 25th.
