If there is one thing we know, rookie Josh Allen is going to need the 10 other guys around him to do their job to help him succeed on Sunday.
And that starts with the five upfront.
The offensive line left plenty to be desired on Sunday allowing Allen and then starter Nathan Peterman to each be sacked three times.
The two were also pressured and hit nearly every time they dropped back to pass. The O-
line also struggled with discipline as well committing seven penalties
With a rookie starting on Sunday, the O-line knows they have to do better.
“We just have to just bring him up and keep praise, keep him confidence and he’ll go out there and do what he’s supposed to do,” left tackle Dion Dawkins said.
“You look at it and you see a lot of good things on film. You see a lot bad things,” added guard John Miller. “You see a couple sacks and penalties. At the end of the day, it’s always disappointing when you lose. The good thing is you have 15 more opportunities. You just go back to work, go back to work, focus on the fundamentals and get it fixed.”
“You gotta keep him confident back there,” center Ryan Groy said. “We have to get some confidence going, some tempo and then from there let him take off. It’s been exciting to watch him work. We’ve been good all week and we’re excited for the Chargers.”
