One of Durham’s top prospects, Willy Adames, hit for the cycle as the Bulls bested the Bisons 8-1. Adames is the first Bisons opponent to hit for the cycle since Frank Catalanotta did for Toledo on July 19, 1998.

Buffalo managed just one run on the evening when Dwight Smith Jr. drove in Roemon Fields on a groundout to first.

Joe Biagini tossed 5 innings for Buffalo, allowing 6 hits and striking out 3.

The Bisons and Bulls meet for game two of the series Tuesday night at 7:05pm.
