Bisons Win Doubleheader Again PawSox

The Buffalo Bisons snapped their seven game losing streak, defeating Pawtucket 2-1, and 5-4 in Tuesday’s doubleheader. 

In game one, Cavan Biggio sent home Lourdes Gurriel Jr. on a sacrafice fly in the third inning. Anthony Alford would come home for the winning run on a wild pitch in the sixth. Jacob Waguespack earned the win for the Herd, tossing five innings, allowing three hits, one run and striking out six batters.

The PawSox would jump out to a 4-0 lead in the second inning of game two. The Bisons would slowly come back, as Biggio would hit an RBI single to cut the lead to 4-1. Patrick Cantwell would score on a wild pitch to kick off the seventh inning. Bo Bichette would hit a sacrafice fly to bring the Bisons within one. Richard Urena would score the game winner on a single to score Roemon Fields.

Derek Law earned the second win for Buffalo, pitching two hitless innings, and striking out four.

The Herd go for the sweep Wednesday evening.
