Bucknell rallied from a 13-point deficit to defeat St. Bonaventure 88-85 in overtime Wednesday night.

The Bonnies (0-1) did not have senior Courtney Stockard, who continues to work back following offseason knee surgery.

Down six with a 2:35 to play in the second half, Bucknell held St. Bonaventure without a field goal as the chipped away and forced overtime.

Dom Welch, who became Western New York’s all-time leading scoring while starring at Cheektowaga High School, went 3-for-3 from the floor and scored eight of his 10 points in the first half.

Kyle Lofton led the Bonnies with 18.

Bona will look to bounce back Saturday when they host Jackson State.
