This season, the Bandits have rewritten the record books. Buffalo finished with the most wins in franchise history, the most road wins in a season, and they beat every single team in the league, something that hasn’t been done since 1997. The team all agreed there was a specific moment that they knew this year’s team was something special.
“We kind of knew going into training camp, but we just didn’t really fully know how good we could be,” said Bandits transition player Ian MacKay. “Then we kind of kept winning and winning and we started stacking up those wins. It was just kind of like wow we are this good, let’s see how far we can really run with this thing.”
“From our coaching staff to players our offense, our defense and our goaltending we’re just so confident,” said Bandits forward Dhane Smith. “We’re not too high, not too low this year.”
“Our defense is extremely good, our goalie is also extremely good,” added forward Josh Byrne “Our offense was starting to click like we’ve never really clicked before.”
“This city deserves everything, we deserve a championship,” said Smith. “I know it’s been since 2008, we had a close one in 2016, we’re excited for the challenge.”
The Bandits host fourth seed New England Saturday night at 7:30 pm.
