ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — Bills cornerback Dane Jackson exited Monday’s game against the Tennessee Titans in an ambulance after suffering an apparent neck injury.

The Bills said Tuesday morning that Jackson was released from the hospital after testing determined there was no major injury to his neck or spinal cord. He will undergo further testing.

The injury came as Jackson and linebacker Tremaine Edmunds collided with 45 seconds remaining in the second quarter. Jackson was taken out of the stadium in an ambulance as the entire Bills sideline came onto the field to give him well-wishes. Jackson did appear to be moving as he exited the field.

The Bills led the Titans 17-7 at halftime and went on to win 41-7.

The Bills said Monday that Jackson had full movement in his extremities. He was taken to ECMC for evaluation of a neck injury and was set to receive a CT scan and an x-ray.

Bills coach Sean McDermott said he spoke with Jackson in the tunnel at halftime before the ambulance left for the hospital.

“You go from being a coach to just being a human when I’m out there watching him getting loaded into the ambulance. That’s a real moment. Just praying for him. It’s an unfortunate situation. We’re praying for him & hopefully we get some word here soon,” McDermott said.

McDermott did not provide any additional info on Jackson postgame, but on Tuesday morning, NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo shared an update, saying Jackson was “home after walking out of the hospital last night.”
