After combining to go 0-for-6 in his first two games with Toronto, Cavan Biggio provided the big bat in the Blue Jays lineup on Sunday, collecting his first career hit and first Big League home run in a 10-1 win over the Padres.

The 24-year-old picked up his first career hit in the second inning with a single to right field.

Two innings later he connected for the first home run of his young career, sending Matt Wisler’s offering into the upper deck of Rogers Centre.

He would add an RBI single in the seventh inning to cap off the day.
