It took one week, two rain delays and four losses, but the Buffalo Bisons found themselves back on the winning side of things with the 5-4 win over Pawtucket Wednesday.

The Bisons opened things up in the first inning off Devon Travis’s two run homer.

The PawSox answered with a Sam Travis homer in the second inning, and went up in the third off an RBI double by Rusney Castillo, and a two-run home run by Mike Ohlman.

Buffalo tied things up in the 4th inning on a double from Roemon Fields to bring in Jason Leblebijian. The Bisons took the lead for good in the 9th on a sacrifice fly from Dalton Pompey.

The Bisons’ bullpen was also strong on the day. Tim Mayza earned the win, tossing 1 2/3 scoreless innings and striking out three.

The Bisons return to Coca Cola Field Friday night for a three game series with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
