Bisons Blast Pawtucket 13-4

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Buffalo Bisons opened up their final homestand with a big night on offense, defeating Pawtucket 13-4.

The Paw Sox struck first, on a home run from Mike Miller. But Darnell Sweeny would tie the game up on a homer of his own in the second, and the Herd never looked back.

The Bisons added two runs an inning in the second, third, fourth and sixth to take an 8-1 lead. They blew open the scoring with a five run seventh inning. 

Sweeny and Gunnar Heidt both had home runs on the evening. Heidt finished the night 2 for 4 with three runs and two RBI. Jonathan Davis went 4 for 4 with three runs and three RBI. Vlad Jr. was 3 for 4 with two RBI. 

Shawn Morimando earned the win for the Herd, pitching seven innings, allowing three runs off three hits.

The Herd and Pawtucket play game two Saturday.
