BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Buffalo Bisons finished the remainder of Tuesday's suspended game with a 2-1 win over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Wednesday night.
Jonathan Davis drove in Gunnar Heidt on a RBI single in the ninth to give the Herd the win.
In the second game of the night, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre opened the game with two runs in the first. Buffalo would answer with one in the second, but the RailRiders would take a 3-1 lead headed into the fourth inning.
Tim Lopes had his second RBI of the game, this time bringing home Vlad Guerrero Jr. and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. to tie the score at three. Jonathan Davis would add two more runs on an RBI single to left field, andthe Bisons took a 5-3 lead.
The Herd extended their lead in the eighth with a Darnell Sweeny RBI. Sweeny would then come around to score on a fielding error later in the frame.
Zach Stewart earned the win for Buffalo, giving up no hits and striking out two batters in two innings of work. Buffalo looks for the series sweep Thursday afternoon.
