The Blue Jackets lit the lamp midway through the first period when Pierre-Luc Dubois deflected the puck past Linus Ullmark.
Just about six minutes later, Oliver Bjorkstrand doubled the Blue Jackets’ lead. They would add another with just over two minutes to play in the period to take a 3-0 lead headed into the break.
Josh Anderson would score late in the second period for Columbus to give them the 4-0 lead.
Buffalo outshot Columbus 38-36. Ullmark recorded 32 saves on the evening. Buffalo welcomes Nashville to town Tuesday, April 2nd.
