Sabres drop first game of western Canada trip to Flames

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) — The Calgary Flames held on to beat the Sabres 4-3 on the first game of Buffalo’s road trip through western Canada.

Jack Eichel extended his point streak to 11 games with a power play goal, and Sam Reinhart and Jake McCable also scored.

The Sabres stand at 13-11-5. They visit Vancouver and Edmonton this weekend.
