BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Buffalo Sabres have agreed to a three-year entry level deal with Arttu Ruotsalainen.
The 5’8″, 179-pound forward ranked ninth in the league during his second full season with Liiga – a Finnish professional hockey league.
Over a course of 204 regular season games in parts of four Liiga seasons, Ruotsalainen scored 73 points.
The 21-year-old is a native of Finland, and helped win the silver medal for his country’s team in the 2015 IIHF World U18 Championship. The next year, Ruotsalainen also represented Finland at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship.
Ruotsalainen made his debut with Finland’s national team during the 2018-19 season.
