Canisius rallies to top Siena, Niagara falters against Manhattan

Canisius rallied from a 13 point deficit in the second half to defeat Siena 70-66 Saturday afternoon to pick up their second straight win in Metro Atlantic play.

Takal Moulson led the way with 23 while Isiah Reese finished with 20 for the Griffs.  Canisius, which is now 5-8 overall, returns to the court Tuesday night when they host Brown.


Niagara dropped it’s MAAC opener 90-80 to Manhattan.  The Purple Eagles led by nine at halftime, but the Jaspers scored 54 points in the second half to pull away.

Five players reached double figures for NU, including Dominic Robb who led the team with 17.  Marvin Prochet had 15 while James Towns and Khalil Tate each added 13.Marcus Hammond chipped in with 10 off the bench.

The Purple Eagles play Fairfield on Monday.
