BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Sean McDermott was non-committal on naming starter for Sunday's game against the Jets and said on Friday that rookie quarterback Josh Allen continues to make progress.
However, the focus remains on his health as the team continues to monitor his injured elbow.
Derek Anderson (concussion) has already been ruled out of the Bills' Week 10 matchup leaving Nathan Peterman and Matt Barkley as the other options to take snaps.
Regardless of who has been under center this season, the offense hasn't been able to get anything going in the air or on the ground.
Buffalo has just one touchdown in their last 40 drives -- that's not a recipe for success.
Sports Director Josh Reed sat down with general manager Brandon Beane to get his thoughts on the team -- including last week's loss to the Bears, where the team was booed off the field at halftime.
"We love our fans," Beane said. "We love our fan base, they're passionate and they're smart fans. They get it. We see some of the same things they see and some of the same frustrations that come out in boos, we're frustrated. There are players that may want to boo themselves or a coach or myself at times. Not everything works out perfect.
But, we have a plan. We're not going to abort the plan at 2-7. We know where we are at, we know where we are good, where we are not good and we're going to get it fixed."
