With the 9th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills drafted Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver.
Oliver dominated during his career with the Cougars, racking up 13.5 sacks and 54.5 tackles for loss.

Oliver fits perfectly into Sean McDermott’s defense, providing a disruptive force up front as they look to replace Kyle Williams, who retired following the 2018 season.
“Fast,” said Oliver at the NFL Combine. “Faster than most honestly, violent, high motor.”
He’s the only player in Houston football history to be named an All-American in three seasons. Oliver also won the 2017 Outland Trophy as the best interior defensive lineman in college football.
