LeSean McCoy has cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol and is expected play Monday night against the New England Patriots, the Bills announced on Sunday.
McCoy suffered a concussion on the second play from scrimmage in Buffalo’s 37-5 loss to the Colts and has been limited all week in practice.
Having McCoy is good for a Bills offense that has struggled to find a rhythm offensively as they continue to work in Derek Anderson, who will be making his second straight start tomorrow night.
Over the last four weeks Buffalo has scored a total of 31 points. On their current four game winning streak the Patriots are averaging 39 and have scored 38 or more points in each game.
McCoy has rushed for only 244 yards, has 84 reception yards and hasn’t scored a touchdown this season.
