In his first game since suffering an elbow injury, Josh Allen shined in his return.

After being criticized throughout the offseason, the regular season and heading into Sunday’s game by Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey, the Bills rookie quarterback let his play do the talking combing for 259 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-21 win.

“Josh is a baller,” safety Jordan Poyer said after the game. “They can say whatever they want to say about Josh. Jalen can say whatever he wants to say about Josh. But, Josh came in and handled that defense today.”

“See the thing with Josh is, he brings that extra spark, electricity in the building,” added running back LeSean McCoy. “One thing I like about Josh, when I first met him, his attitude.. He wants to win. He’s no chump. He played hard. They talked a lot about him.  He couldn’t wait to get out there and prove them wrong.”

“I told him great job,” Kyle Williams said. “The opportunity for him to come back, after a lengthy layoff, to score some points and lead our football team, Josh is a dangerous player because of his mobility and because of his arm strength. Not only do you have to defend him running, but on the run he can throw it to any point on the field.  Those things make him dangerous and those are things that the Buffalo Bills and this place  have to look forward to for a long time.”

We’ll see if Allen can lead the Bills offense to a third straight win next weekend when they travel to Miami.
