Sam Reinhart and the Canadians were stunned in the final of the World Championships, finishing with a Silver Medal as Finland skated its way to Gold with a 3-1 win on Sunday.

Tied 1-1 in the third period, Finland captain Marko Anttila scored what proved to be the game-winner, sending a shot past Matt Murray and into the back of the net.

Harri Pesonen added another tally later in the frame.

The Sabres winger finished with three shots on goal, and missed out on a Grade-A chance in the first period.

Spinning through the slot while chasing after a rebound, Reinhart appeared to have a shot at an open cage, but Finnish netminder Kevin Lankinen was able to stretch across and turn him away.  It was one of 43 saves Lankinen made in the Gold Medal game.
