REPORT: Kyle Williams’ ACL “spared”, could return this season

Sports

Some good news, although there has been no official word from the Bills.

Kyle Williams’ knee injury, according to reports, might not have been as bad as it looked awhen he went down in second quarter of Friday night’s win over the Browns.

Williams’ right knee and leg were rolled up during a 19-yard run by Carlos Hyde.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Saturday morning Williams’ ACL was spared and he could return this season.

After suffering the injury, the veteran defensive tackle walked off under his own power and was seen leaving the stadium with his right leg in a walking brace. Head Sean McDermott will likely provide an update when he meets with the media on Sunday.

That’s when we’ll also likely get a clearer picture as to how much time quarterback AJ McCarron will miss after he suffered a broken collar bone in Cleveland.

Punter Cory Carter suffered an ACL tear, after getting run into on a punt in the fourth quarter of Friday’s win over the Browns.
