The Buffalo Sabres lost their third game in a row Tuesday night, in a 4-2 decision to the Florida Panthers.

After a scoreless first period, Buffalo got on the board first when Jack Eichel tipped in Sam Reinhart’s shot on the power play. It was the Sabres first power play goal in their last 13 opportunities.

However, the Blue and Gold’s lead was short lived. In the opening minutes of the third period, the Panthers would score three goals in 2:35 to take a 3-1 lead, and never look back.

Late in the third, Eichel scored what looked to be a goal to pull Buffalo within one. However, after a review, it was deemed offsides and the goal would be waived off.

With eight seconds remaining, Vladimir Sobotka would score a garbage-time goal to make the final 4-2. The Sabres have won just four of their last ten games. Buffalo travels to Tampa for a matchup with the league-leading Lightning Thursday.
