The Buffalo Sabres have suspended Patrik Berglund indefinitely for failing to report to the team, the organization announced Saturday morning.
The Buffalo Sabres today announced that forward Patrik Berglund has been suspended indefinitely by the organization due to failure to report to the team. There will be no further information or comment at this time.— Sabres PR (@SabresPR) December 15, 2018
Berglund, who was acquired from St. Louis in a trade that brought the veteran centerman to Buffalo in exchange for Ryan O’Reilly over the summer, has just four points (2G, 2A) in 23 games this season.
He’s missed the last two games due to an illness and did not practice with the team on Friday.
The Sabres have won two straight games and will look for another tonight when they battle the Washington Capitals.
