Despite racking up 1,011 yards and seven touchdowns, University at Buffalo’s Anthony Johnson didn’t hear his named called during the seven rounds of the NFL Draft.

Johnson has signed as an undrafted free agent with Tampa Bay.

After two years at junior college, Johnson had one Division I scholarship offer.

“I only had Buffalo, that offer coming from junior college,” Johnson at the NFL Combine. “I was always overlooked. Guys didn’t think I had that much potential. getting to Buffalo just made me work harder.”

In his two years at UB, Johnson hauled in 133 catches for 2,367 yards and 25 touchdowns, which included a school record 14 in his first year with the team.  Johnson also finished sixth in the country with 1,356 yards in 2017.

Johnson battled through injuries throughout this season but still managed to finish in the top 15 nationally in touchdowns with 11.
