A really cool moment here in Mobile, Alabama on a Friday.

NFL legend Archie Manning was the keynote speaker at the Mayor’s Luncheon for both teams. News 4’s Jenna Harner had the chance to catch up with him and get his thoughts on UB quarterback Tyree Jackson and Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

“Tyree is a great young man first but you know he’s different. He looks more like an NBA player but he’s a good athlete, got a good arm, throws the ball well,” Manning said.  “I enjoyed following him this year.  He had a really good year so I’d love to see him make it to the NFL.”

“We had Josh in our camp also. So he’s a great young guy, big strong guy. You know it’s amazing about Josh, the one thing is he got nicked up some this year some so he’s been hurt and that first year is so tough, it’s such a transition,” Manning added. “The same thing for him, coming from Wyoming you just need to play, you need to play so I was glad to see him get back in there and I think one of the most impressive things- everybody knows that he can really throw the ball, throw the deep ball, but how well he runs for a Big Man. I think he’s got a great future and good days ahead for Buffalo as he comes along and their team develops around him.”

The Bulls battle Troy in the Dollar General Bowl on Saturday. Kickoff is set for noon.  Meanwhile, the Bills travel to Foxborough to take on the rival Patriots, Sunday at 1 o’clock.
