Clinging to a two point lead midway through the second half, the 16th ranked Buffalo Bulls used a 16-1 run late in the second half to pickup their 17th win of the season, 77-65 over Eastern Michigan.

With the victory the Bulls have pushed their home winning streak to 20 games, which is the third longest in the nation.  They’re now 5-0 in Mid-American Conference play.

The Eagles, who lost by 16 to UB in the MAC opener, put the Bulls on upset alert as they pulled within 58-56  with 8:43 to play in the game.

From that point on, the Bulls took over, holding EMU without a field goal for the better part of five minutes as they opened up a 75-57 lead.

CJ Massinburg, who finished with 31 points, tallied 12 of UB’s 16 points over that span. The Bulls’ star guard also put on a shooting clinic in the first half, dropping in 17 points which included a 4-for-7 effort from beyond the arc as UB led 41-29 at the half.

Nick Perkins added 21 in the win, 15 of which came in the first half as well.

The Bulls will look to pickup their 18th win of the season Tuesday when they travel to Northern Illinois.
