Expect a few scattered rain showers, with perhaps a thundershower this afternoon, but there will be some dry time as well. Temperatures and humidity will rise behind a warm front. Overnight, there will be a continued chance of a few spotty showers and thunderstorms.
A sharp cold front will trigger another round of showers and perhaps some stronger thunderstorms fairly Wednesday morning before clearing out of our broadcast area during the afternoon. The greatest chance of a severe thunderstorm would be south and east of the metro. Some breaks in the clouds are possible into the afternoon.
A drier forecast seems to be shaping up late week along with some coolish temperatures. Drier, brighter weather returns Thursday-Friday. Cooler air pouring into the region this weekend will trigger a few showers Saturday, though it doesn't appear to be a washout. Considerable clouds linger Sunday.
